Tips & Tricks
Below are some helpful tips and tricks on how you can have the best henna stain!

Paste On
This bridal design was created using the eucalyptus scented henna cone with a 0.45 tip size. This design can be created using the fine tip 0.32, but with a 0.45 it'll be easier and quicker when filling in negative space and creating thick strokes for that elegant bold look.
After completing your desired design, seal the paste using a citrus or rosewater sealant when the paste is halfway dry. You can also use mefix tape if you want to sleep with the paste on, but make sure the paste is fully dry when you use the mefix tape. This will ensure that the paste does not flake off. The longer you keep the paste on, the darker your stain will be. Having a good body temperature will also help. My favorite method will be steaming cloves and hovering my hand over the steam. A warm body temperature helps will the stain developing process.

Fresh Stain
I've kept the paste on for 8 hours overnight. This was my fresh stain after removing the paste. When removing the paste, its very important that you DO NOT WASH THE PASTE OFF WITH WATER! Instead, take a butter knife or anything sturdy enough to scrape the paste off. You can use almond oil, mustard oil, coconut oil, or any organic oil to soften the paste.
After fully removing the paste, I rubbed jojoba oil all over my hand to keep it moisturized. Mustard oil is another popular aftercare oil used by many henna artist and it works wonders. Throughout the day you should try your best to avoid water. Wear gloves when washing the dishes or taking a shower. As mentioned before, keeping your body temperature up can help with the staining procress.

Mature Stain
After constantly moisturizing my hand with jojoba oil and trying my best to avoid water, this was my stain after 10 hours. A beautiful dark shade of burgundy. Now imagine the stain at 48 hours because that is when you have your mature stain.
The darker the stain the longer your henna stains the skin. I had my henna stain for 1 week before I noticed a good amount of fading.
When you are at the fading stage of your henna, the best way to remove the stubborn patches is by exfoliating to get rid of the dead skin that the henna is sticking onto.
